… on a 160 acre working farm (cattle, sheep) which you’re welcome to wander, ½ mile from St Endellion, 1½ by footpath from Port Isaac and 1 from a pub, a lovely old granite farmhouse (13th cent. origins) with thick stone walls, leaded-light mullioned windows and slate sills. We let half the farmhouse (shared with the friendly owners) and a neat, first-floor apartment in the west wing. 'Doc Martin' scenes have been filmed here. At the front, a shared lawned garden (picnic bench, barbecue) with trampoline and swings (your risk). Access over 500 yards of rough hardcore lane. Spring water. Good value accommodation in a very popular area.
... from a small courtyard, 11 steps up to door (5’2” lintel) to the apartment; step up into kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker) with oil-fired Rayburn (lit October to Easter for extra cosiness); living room with woodburner, sloping roof trusses and TV/DVD; two bedrooms – a double (footboard), and one with two singles; bathroom (suite plus hand-shower). At ground level, huge slate-floored utility room (washing machine).
