… 500 yards from the pub at Edmonton and the Camel Trail, a cleverly designed, eco-friendly, smart ‘upside down’ cottage converted from a barn attached to the friendly owners’ ancient cottage, wonderfully tucked away along a no through road with gorgeous, long, tranquil views over the Camel estuary. A hundred yards of hardcore farmtrack/footpath lead to it with the occasional passing tractor or walkers. At the back, a neat enclosed suntrap garden and you are welcome to wander the owners’ kitchen garden to their little wood, all surrounded by sheep/cattle grazed meadows.
Inside, mostly wood floors. Entrance to tiled hall and two bedrooms – a double (5' bed) with French windows to garden, and a twin (limited clothes-hanging space); smart shower-room (suite, large cubicle). Beech stairs (stairgate) up to attractively fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer, oven/ceramic hob); 3 steps down to light and airy living/dining room (TV/DVD) with great views one side and French windows on the other to balcony with steps down to the garden. A real retreat and a great spot for cyclists/walkers/surfers with easy access to Padstow (and good public transport) via the Camel Trail.
