… set on the hillside with brilliant views over Porthtowan and out to sea as far as Godrevy Lighthouse, a detached bungalow with very easy access to the South West Coast Path. From the parking area, path down to enclosed garden surrounding the bungalow, with barbecue and lawn to the rear and 4 steps round to patio (sea views) at the front and 9 steps down to sloping lawn and gate to footpath down to the beach and village.
Porch/utility room (dishwasher, microwave), useful for storing wetsuits and boots, and shower-room (suite) for washing sandy bodies. Small fitted kitchen (washing machine, fridge-freezer). Living room (TV/DVD/video), from which step down to conservatory/dining room with good sea views (lovely sunsets) and door to patio. Three bedrooms (limited clothes-hanging space) − a double (5’ bed) with views to the lighthouse, a twin and one with two singles (one 2’6”). Family bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). Best for maximum of 4 adults/2 children. A great place for surfing and walking the Cornish coastline.

"Hillcrest avenue is well located for access to the beach and coastal walks and in that way is suited all our family of six (2 adults,2 teenagers and 2 younger children). It was our first stay at this house but we weren't new to the area. It was particularly useful being able to walk to the beach directly from the house. The house itself is compact but very accommodating and we particularly enjoyed the conservatory and its sea views. Would we go back? Yes, absolutely."

"1)We really had a wonderful stay at Hillcrest. Even the bed was good which was the first time in a holiday let ( very sad that thats not the norm as it can make the difference between an ok stay and a great stay. There ar a few things that would make the kitchen flow better a)It would be better to hang the fridge door to open the other way.Into the kitchen rather than the wall.b)To swop the dishwasher and the washing machine around. The location of the dishwasher in the utility is very inconvinient and should be near the sink. 2)The only oyher thing is more a safety issue its regarding the step down intyo the conservatory after nearly falling/ tripping down it two times we've placed the rug from the lounge below the step to highlight that there was a step.Very hard to see the step partly due to the wonderful view but mostly due to the fact that the tile are the same colour as the rest of the floor. As i said we had a wonderful stay in Hillcrest and we will certainly be back next year. "
