About this property

In a magnificent peaceful countryside setting, between The Tamar Valley (AONB), Bodmin Moor (AONB) and Caradon Mining District (UNESCO World Heritage Site) this spacious 150 year old stone cottage is in an idyllic location. Benefitting from a spectacular far-reaching moorland panorama and with no near neighbours it has the perfect atmosphere, away from the hubbub, to allow you to unwind and relax.

The tiny hamlet of South Hill, some three miles from the ancient market town of Callington and all its amenities, affords easy all year access to the best delights of Cornwall and Devon including; the unspoiled rugged expanses of Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and The North and South Cornish coasts.

Upon arrival you will be immediately wowed by the stunning high vistas and open spaces that surround you.

Once inside you will appreciate the traditional layout, with beautifully presented individual rooms. The airy well-equipped kitchen leads into the dining room whose fabulous Delabole slate floor wraps around into the airy hall, from where the sitting rooms comfortable leather sofas welcome you.

Oak furniture exudes character throughout the first floor bedrooms, both with sumptuously presented king sized beds, plump duvets complimenting the beautiful furnishings.

Outside the glorious level south facing gardens and lawns benefit from those memorable countryside views across tors and moors, all just waiting to be explored and there are a vast array of walking, cycling and horse riding opportunities nearby.

With so many options to choose from you are spoilt for choice for days out here, but whatever you choose, you will feel secure in the knowledge that, at the end of the day, you will return to the peace and tranquillity of this lovely cottage.

Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill. From the top of Kit Hill there are fabulous views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound. Callington is set in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offers a good selection of shops, inns and cafes.
