About this property

Beautiful, sympathetic renovation giving light and stylish rooms and special views. The location close to Sennen just invites you to discover all this lovely area has to offer.

The Byre is a beautifully renovated detached granite cottage sleeping six people and accepting one dog, which is situated in stunning countryside between Sennen and Land’s End. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone work, a woodburning stove and oil-fired central heating make this cottage a great choice all year round.

On the ground floor, a spacious living room leads into a well-equipped kitchen/diner which has a lovely large dining table as its focal feature. Two twin bedrooms and the main bathroom are also on the ground floor, whilst the master bedroom with its en-suite shower room is on a mezzanine level and has views on three sides across the countryside towards the sea – you can see the Scilly Isles on a clear day! Outside there is a lawned garden and plenty of parking space.

We throughly enjoyed our holiday. I think it should be made clear on the website that all walks from the house are cliff top and will be difficult for less able bodied people. Nanjazel cove is a 20 minute walk away but it includes climbing rocks and steep steps. Sennen cove is a down hill walk which is very steep so difficult on the way back. However The First and Last Inn is a very short walk away and the food is lovely. Another short walk away is Lands end a must to see the sunset. Inside the cottage there is not enough food storage room (only one small cupboard) and a very small fridge and freezer. This was ok for just my husband and myself but as the cottage sleeps up to 6 people it would not be enough.

A great location for exploring the very tip of England! Close to wonderful beaches and stunning clifftop walks with Choughs and Common Dolphins to keep you company. The Cottage is really comfortable and very peaceful.
