About this property

… in Penrose, a south-facing Georgian cottage, semi-detached to its sister cottages. Its new owner has spent time and care combining all the comforts of the 21st cent. with a great deal of 18th cent. charm, creating glossy magazine style. Access up a few shallow steps through its herb and bulb-filled paved front garden where tables/chairs have been placed to catch the sun at various angles; a low wall hugs it around.

Little porch into well-equipped cook’s kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer, cooker with induction hob) and dining area with handsome working Cornish solid-fuel range, TV/Sky/DVD/Blu-ray, music system, slate floor and comfy sofa. Living room with lush fabrics and vibrant colours complementing original Delabole slate floor, TV/DVD and big inglenook (woodburner) ensuring cosiness. Steep stairs up to three attractive bedrooms, all with wall hooks for clothes-hanging and painted floors (rugs) – a double (5’ bed) with en suite shower-room (suite) and TV, another  double (5’ bed) with TV and roll-top bath plus hand-shower within the room, and a small room with two built-in singles (one 5’ long). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath, bidet). Secure shed for bicycles/surfboards. A pamperingly gorgeous cottage, just a mile inland from north Cornwall’s glorious coast.

"Lovely cottage and beautiful courtyard garden. Everything included for your home from home. Teenager loved the sky movies and even a welcome for the dog. Lovely family friendly beaches nearby and the dog loved paddling too. Will certainly stay here again."

"Dormouse cottage us absolutely stunning. There is nothing to fault it at all. The cottage has some high tech equipment such as a fab huge tv and great cooker. The house has everything you could possibly need. The house also has 4 tellys so it's great that people can watch telly in different rooms. The whole house has been lovingly decorated and furnished with absolute love. The owners have spared no expense in order to ensure that families have all the comfort under the sun. The bedding was even hotel like I could not believe it. The village is awesome if you want to relax and be away from the usual holiday scene. The beach is very close by and is dog friendly which was awesome. The beach was awesome too will lovely cave and exploration areas. We could not fault the holiday home or the location at all, although we would recommend that you bring food from home for the week so that you don't have to travel major far frequently whilst on holiday. We recommend a visit to padstow and the blue fish fish and chips nearby which I cannot remember the name of the seaside town. Hope I have convinced you..."
