Newquay town centre is packed full of shops, bars, pubs and restaurants and there are a number of family attractions including Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium.

My family and I stayed at a property within the Retallack Resort and Spa in Cornwall. We had an amazing time staying in a lodge of 5* accommodation set within beautiful grounds and surroundings. The staff were very helpful and the facilities on -site were very good. My son loved the play area and myself and granddad especially liked the coarse fishing on the lakes at the resort. You can have great fun watching surfers on the flow-rider and even have a go yourself for an extra fee. The restaurant on-site is called "The Green Room" with the winner of Masterchef 2008, James Nathan as head chef and the food/menu looked amazing. The accommodation was very modern, spacious, clean and definitely felt like 5*. The resort itself is extremely close to both Padstow, Newquay and the Eden Project so it was very quick and easy to get to attractions but then drive back and stay at the very quiet and secluded lodge. Amazing holiday experience which we would do again in a heartbeat.
