About this property

A 4 star gold rated modern cottage, sleeps 4. Close to the harbour, beach and restaurants

Nestled in the village of Charlestown, Pelican Cottage offers a luxurious family-friendly base for exploring Cornwall. Internally the property has been furnished to a high standard in a contemporary style. Externally, the property has an enclosed garden complete with furniture and barbecue and is within a short walk of the centre of the village.

Charlestown is situated near St. Austell and, during years gone by, was of great importance to the local economy as its port was used to import coal and export local China Clay. Despite the decline of the China Clay industry, the harbour remains an important focal point and provides a permanent berth for square-riggers.

St Austell itself is the meeting point of old and new Cornwall, of ancient narrow streets and pedestrian precincts with fine shops and restaurants. The bay has numerous sandy beaches and fishing villages. Renowned attractions, such as The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, are close by.

This property especially welcomes families. There is a cot and highchair provided for younger guests, plus a stair gate, baby bouncer and changing mat, blackout blinds and enclosed garden with sun loungers, table and barbecue.
Please note that there is a new turquoise corner sofa in the living area
