On the first floor of this Porthtowan cottage is a double bedroom with an en-suite, along with two further bedrooms, all complete with fine views over the countryside towards St Agnes Beacon. Porthtowan has a wonderful Blue Flag beach offering immaculate, pale sands; loved by surfers, it’s also lifeguarded during the summer season, making it safe for family fun. Set amongst dramatic cliffs, the length of coastline around Porthtowan provides breathtaking walks along the South West Coast Path towards St Agnes or Portreath, with much of the land well-kept by the National Trust. The city of Truro has a lot to offer all members of the family including the Hall for Cornwall, the Royal Cornwall Museum, and the starting point for boat cruises to Falmouth via the stunning Fal Estuary, along with plenty of retail therapy opportunities, bars, restaurants and cafes. Land's End, St Ives and Penzance are other superb coastal destinations within easy reach. The cottage is situated just half a mile from the Bissoe Trail, a cycle path connecting the north and south coast along a safe and beautifully scenic route; perfect for an active family day out. Porthtowan is a small village resting on west Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, renowned for its Blue Flag beach, which at low tide exposes almost a mile and a half of fine, golden sands. Fringed by impressive granite cliffs, the beach is a popular surfing venue and is lifeguarded during the summer, making it ideal for families.
