About this property

A character cottage just a mile from the sandy beach at Portreath. This beautiful cottage is on the outskirts of Portreath, a popular village with families that centres around its harbour and beach. Arranged over two floors, the sitting room has a rustic charm and is comfortable and homely with Chesterfield sofas. The modern kitchen is well equipped for keen cooks with a door out to the stylish conservatory and then on to a super enclosed rear courtyard garden. Sleep like royalty in the master bedroom with its king size four poster bed, beautiful linens and modern artwork. The second bedroom is cosy and offers bunk beds and a chair bed for fexibility. The bright modern bathroom is spotlessly clean and perfect for a relaxing soak. After a day of adventures, relax and unwind on the deck in the enclosed courtyard garden and dine alfresco with an evening tipple or sizzle a steak on the barbecue. Portreath has friendly shops and cafes to keep hunger and thirst at bay after a fun time in the sunshine. A welcoming atmosphere can be found at the pub which is within yards of the property, listen to some live music, make new friends or just sit and enjoy a drink in the beer garden - you really are spoilt for choice. There is an old mining walk way which is off road and takes you into the village if you didn't want to take the car. The coastal footpath south to Bassets Cove is a five mile amble there and back with exhilarating cliff top views. For those looking to enjoy coast and countryside Trevean is a great choice.

Portreath is nestled in a stream valley between high cliffs. It has a secluded sandy, safe beach which is popular with families and surfers alike. The village has several shops including beach shops, a take away, several pubs and cafes, plus cliff tops for walking with panoramic seascapes.

So much so we have booked again for next year. Highly recommend this lovely little cottage, with its comfy bed, beamed ceilings and a well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. 10/10

Very well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Heating easy to control and accurate. Stairs steep and creaky, especially at the top on the landing. Kitchen provided with tea towels, wash cloths and liquid. Parking outside in the road was okay. HOWEVER, as much as we tried - we could not get the TV to work. Whatever we tried - NO SIGNAL came up on the screen. Checked all the cables and aerial connection - all seemed fine so have to assume that there is a problem with the connectivity. Pleased that there was a radio to listen to. If need be, will stay there again and trust that the problem with the TV will be sorted out.
