Dune View is a sturdy, stone built, detached cottage on two levels in Rose, standing firm by the dunes and coast for unknown centuries. It is a lovely carefree family home. Inside is surprisingly spacious with a cosy living room featuring a huge inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, leading through to an equally spacious kitchen-dining room which has a door to the garden. A downstairs shower room and utility room. Head upstairs to three bedrooms – two double, one with a washbasin, and a twin, along with the family bathroom. The large garden surrounds it with plenty of room for energetic ball games. A footpath runs from the village to the amazing stretch of Perran Sands, over SSSI sand dunes – about a 3 mile round walk. Or there’s St.Agnes or Newquay to visit, just a bit further along the coast, not forgetting good golf at Perranporth.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path.
