About this property

Nestling in the sleepy hamlet of Rosudgeon, within 5 minutes drive of Praa Sands and Perranuthnoe sandy beaches, this comfortable holiday home for two is perfectly located for exploring the quaint fishing villages, picturesque coves and spectacular landmarks of south west Cornwall. Situated beside the owners' home, the property is homely and welcoming. Arranged over one level with a pretty double bedroom and open plan living area. Unwind and enjoy a good book in the seclusion of your own sunny conservatory or enjoy a barbecue and sundowner on your own patio. The village of Rosudgeon has two pubs, The Falmouth Packet just 4 minutes walk. The iconic St Michael's Mount is just over 2 miles, where lunch or a drink overlooking the beach at The Godolphin Arms is a treat not to be missed. A little further afield is the fishing village of Porthleven, where you will find the latest Rick Stein fish restaurant and a wander around the quaint fishing harbour at Newlyn should be enjoyed with a Cornish ice cream from Jelberts! An ideal base to explore the region at any time of year.

The most westerly major town in Cornwall, Penzance faces the shores of Mount’s Bay, the famous St Michael's Mount rising from the sea in its centre. A bustling harbour town with quaint streets lined with shops and cafes and a promenade stretching towards the fishing port of Newlyn. Known for its mild year-round climate, palm trees and tropical plants thrive here and are best viewed at the beautiful sub tropical Morrab Gardens, close to the town centre. Popular with photographers, the art deco Jubilee seawater pool should not be missed for a dip in summer months. Home to the Georgian Theatre built around 1786, the theatre is thought to be one of the oldest Georgian theatres in the country. Golowan Festival is held in Penzance each June – a ten day festival with carnivals, music and dance. Penzance is an ideal base for exploring the far south west of Cornwall, with St Ives and Carbis bay a short drive.

Great bedroom kitchen and appliances worked well. Bathroom a little snug but we were disappointed with the outside areas it all looked very neglected and did not resemble the photos. Having a barbecue amongst the dead heads and insects wasn’t for us. Thanks Frances and Richard

Everything you need. On a very good bus route. No washing machine to use as stated in the details. Would recommend.

The bedroom is very spacious and the kitchen/lounge-diner is absolutely fine for two people and the conservatory is a wonderful added bonus. We really loved spending evenings in there as it has a south westerly aspect and it’s lovely. The location is lovely and quiet and we had no problem finding our way around. We would definitely stay there again. The photos of the shower room need updating though as a lovely new shower room was fitted in 2022 with a very nice corner shower and a few other things have been changed too so new photos would be a good idea.
