    This contemporary penthouse second floor holiday apartment (see property with round roof in centre of photograph) provides guests with exceptional comfort, with bi-fold doors leading to a private glass and stainless steel balcony taking full advantage of the magnificent harbour and sea views, the ideal place to enjoy breakfast or unwind and relax in the evening with a drink. Ocean Blue Penthouse also has the added benefit of secure private parking behind electric gates and video entrance security. The property is located harbourside in central Penzance, an ancient market town in the far west of Cornwall, sheltered by the beautiful waters and sweeping golden sand beach of Mounts Bay with the impressive St Michael’s Mount rising from the sea like a fairytale castle. This is the area in the far south west where the TV series ’Poldark’ was filmed. Ocean Blue is also close to transport connections such as the main line station and road links, providing an excellent base for those wishing to explore the delights of the far west, south, or rugged north Cornish coastline, popular with surfers. Penzance has art galleries, sub-tropical gardens, cinema, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Stroll along the promenade past the art deco open-air lido to the fishing harbour of Newlyn, continue along the coast to the picturesque harbour and tiny village of Mousehole famous for its Christmas lights. The historic town of Marazion is just 10 minutes away with access to St Michael’s Mount across the tidal walkway or by ferry. The area enjoys a wide range of sports and recreational activities, from water sports including wind and kite surfing, canoeing and sailing to art galleries and a nature reserve for birdwatchers. Take the passenger ferry from Penzance for a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly, or drive along the scenic coastal route from nearby Pendeen to St Ives and visit the wide sandy beaches of Sennen and Carbis Bay. Shop 25 yards, pub 50 yards.

    "The property has an excellent view of the harbour and is in a good central location, within easy walking distance of a number of good restaurants. Whilst it does have a parking space, the space is very narrow and due to the need to allow access to a service door it is effectively shorter than adjacent spaces. If your car is wider than a Mini or Fiat 500 you will find getting into the space a real challenge due to the pillars that encroach on the space."

    "The apartment itself was all we could have wished for and more. Weather could have been better. but we did do a lot of exploring and found some beautiful spots, Michaels Mount, Porthcurno, Mousehole and St. Ives to name but a few. We very much enjoyed The Eden Project and a trip to the Scilly Isles, but do not recommend the ferry crossing unless you have very good sea legs! Next time we would definitely fly!However beautiful the apartment was and the view must be the best in Penzance, the parking is another matter. Although warned in the information about the apartment that the parking was between 2 pillars and very narrow, we assumed that the whole of the car park was laid out under pillars. Not so. The parting space for the apartment is between the only 2 pillars in the car park and is in front of a plant room which has a notice on it saying access must be left clear. If there is no parking spaces free on the row behind to back into it is very difficult to manoeuvre into the tiny space, and unfortunately after a tiring 8 hour long drive, on arrival we scraped the car badly on trying to enter the tiny space. This has resulted in repair being required to 4 panels . A very upsetting and expensive start to the holiday. It most certainly looks as though this space was never meant to be a designated parking space at all, and as commented by an earlier visitor, certainly not commensurate with the standard of the apartment.We were also slightly disappointed that there was no welcome pack in the apartment, just a pint of milk. Although a fairly minor thing, it is a nice touch and the holiday information does state there is one provided.Overall, despite the above it was a lovely holiday in a beautiful part of the world."

    "As other reviews have noted, the parking space is a nightmare. If you can get into the space behind and drive in straight it is easy, having to turn into the space is different. My car had only a couple of centimeters each side, and despite being fairly confident I did manage to catch the front end on one occasion, a fortune to add to the cost of the apartment rent to get this resprayed. Not being in the flush of youth anymore I did find getting out of the low chairs in the apartment a bit of a struggle.That said, the apartment is very well presented with a gorgeous view. There were a couple of queries and my texts to the owner were responded to immediately. I look forward to returning."

    "The view is stunning, difficult to tear yourself away and actually go outside sometimes! The apartment has everything you could want and is spotlessly clean and spacious. I didn't find the seating very comfortable, but that was the only minor issue we had. Its very central, with shops and restaurants very close by, as well as the beaches, museums, gardens and bus and railway stations."
