A beautifully presented cottage located in the heart of Newlyn, Whether you are planning a getaway for two, or a summer holiday with the family, this retreat is a lovely base to begin your adventures. The well-equipped kitchen has been designed to a standard of quality, with a light and airy feel, which sets a modern tone throughout. After preparing those home-cooked meals, the lounge is a wonderful spot to unwind, offering plenty of space.To finish the ground floor, a contemporary shower room lies close by, ideally situated for getting ready ahead of your day trips.Cosy up in either of the bedrooms as the sun sets; they comprise of a beautiful double and a bunk room for you to choose from. Wake up and wander outside to the enclosed courtyard, a nice spot to enjoy a warm cup of tea as you relax in comfort. The cottage is managed by Gillian Cooper, a local artist, and she chooses original art from other local artists for the cottage. She is happy to introduce you to the famous thriving local art scene. The cottage is right in the heart of the traditional fishing village of Newlyn. Within a 5 minutes walk there is a butcher, a baker and even a candlestick maker! There are 3 fish shops served by the nearby fish market as well as 2 restaurants and the best fish and chip shop with specials direct from the fish market. Homemade ice cream is sold at Jelberts; best in a cone with clotted cream. The shop is owned by the parents of double Olympian Helen Glover, so it must be good for you! Still within 5 minutes is the Newlyn Filmhouse and the Newlyn Art Gallery. A short distance from the sea front and two minutes walk to a dog [and child!] friendly beach, the village is an excellent base to explore the abundance of scenery and wildlife. The open top bus to Lands End runs from the end of the lane, and you can reach Mousehole in 20 minutes walking or 5 minutes by bus. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for water sports. An assorted location with something for everyone.

This Cornish village of Newlyn is clustered around the harbour, with its old quay curling around a few small boats on the western side, and much larger quays in the centre and on the eastern side of the harbour. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along Cornwall's nearby coastal path, while basking sharks and grey seals can occasionally be seen.
