About this property

Experience - The Area...

Standing high above the famous fishing port of Newlyn is Sea Shimmer a spacious ground floor apartment with accommodation set out across one level with spectacular harbour and sea views.

Although small, Newlyn can boast about a number of attributes it offers. For example, did you know that Newlyn has its very own two screen cinema?  The wonderful Newlyn School of Art runs various courses throughout the year suited to both beginners and professional artists. The gallery nextdoor will while away a few hours with the studio cafe serving up delicious light snacks and drinks. There is a selection of traditional pubs in Newlyn as well as shops and craft studios. The artists' paradise of St Ives is just 25 minutes by car from Sea Shimmer and worth a visit particularly outside of the main, much busier summer months.

To one side of Newlyn you have the historic port town of Penzance with high street, numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs. The long awaited re-opening of the Art Deco Jubilee outdoor pool in Penzance is scheduled to occur late spring 2019. To the far side of Penzance is the market town of Marazion home to St Michaels Mount.

There are numerous beaches to choose from around Newlyn including the sandy beaches at Long Rock and Marazion.

To the other side is the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole just 2 miles from Newlyn with pretty Lamorna Cove 4 miles.

Stay - The Accommodation...

Entered from the pretty, sheltered courtyard to the side of the property (couple of small steps) a very spacious kitchen greets you. The kitchen provides every appliance imaginable and has been superbly equipped for your convenience. At one end of the kitchen is the shower room WC at the other a hallway which leads to the living room and bedroom.

The charming carpeted bedroom with comfy double bed and period furniture overlooks the pretty courtyard with ample hanging and drawer space provided.

The comfortable living room has been designed to make the very best use of the amazing views. You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner looking out and down across the harbour and sea beyond thanks to the large bay window, you will not want to leave!

The property is efficiently heated by gas central heating with an attractive electric fire to the living room providing supplementary heating if required.

Outside, the pretty courtyard offers a private sunny space for relaxing with table and chairs provided.  Private parking space to the front for one small or medium size car only. Parking nearby on the road is possible but not guaranteed.

Don't forget...

Sorry, this property does not accept pets.

Please note, due to the elevated position of the property some reversing uphill will be required to access the private parking space.
