About this property

With captivating sea views, this traditional Cornish stone cottage, boasts a harbourside position in the picturesque village of Mousehole. A favoured year-round destination for lovers of the Cornish coast, the village retains a magnetic and charming appeal and is a wonderful choice for a family break or holiday with friends where walking, great food and relaxing in good company whilst enjoying the Cornish sea air are top of the agenda. A traditional granite Cornish cottage with painted blue shutters; you enter into a generous open plan living room with pristine white walls and pale timber floors accentuating the generous space. Two settees are arranged around a wood burning stove, with a step down and central staircase dividing the room that leads into the spacious kitchen dining room, well equipped to cater for family meals. The open staircase leads to three first floor bedrooms where from the master bedroom you will awake to wonderful sea views. The cottage benefits from two first floor bathrooms and a ground floor shower room ensuring no queues as you return from a day on the beach. A small bench is positioned to the front of the cottage, however for morning coffee or an evening drink in the sunshine you need not venture far, with the village restaurants and pubs on the doorstep. Wander through the narrow cobbled streets lined with quaint galleries, tea rooms, cafes and ice cream parlours - best enjoyed with a dollop of Cornish clotted cream. The active fishing port of Newlyn with its famous fish market is just along the coastline and a little further the rail terminus and town of Penzance, accessible by a regular bus service. A little further you will find the popular village of Marazion, famous for its castle topped island, St Michaels Mount, accessible by foot at low tide. Porthcurno with its open-air theatre and breathtaking white sands and turquoise blue waters are also in easy reach. Trecarrell is an escape for all seasons for couples or families alike.

A delightful fishing village nestled on a hillside and spilling down to the shore. The picturesque harbour, surrounded by its maze of winding narrow streets, draws visitors from miles around, while in the distance St Michael's Mount stands proudly in the centre of Mounts Bay.
