About this property

Situated in the Cornish village of Pendeen, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is Myles View. This family-friendly retreat offers spacious accommodation, with underfloor heating and a luxury standard of quality throughout. The open-plan living area is presented in a stylish manner, sweeping across a charcoal grey, slate floor to form an L-shape. Get cosy on the large, plush sofa in front of the woodburner on a cold wintry night and make the most of the fully-fitted kitchen. A colourful rug and coordinating cushions brighten up the contemporary grey and white setup. Use the dining space for home cooked meals and getting together for late-night chats over a family board game. With patio doors leading from the dining room into the garden, you get the feeling of bringing the outside in. And on a clear day you can even admire views out towards the Isles of Scilly. Upstairs, a collection of thoughtfully decorated bedrooms are accompanied by a gleaming white bathroom, for a home-from-home feel. One double room even boasts its own en-suite! If you can tear yourself away from this cosy retreat, discover the delights of Pendeen and its handful of pubs and shops. Pay a visit to the lighthouse and catch glimpses of the sea, stretching out for miles and disappearing beyond the horizon. Step back into the 18th century Poldark times by exploring the rugged coastline and dramatic moorland, before heading out for an afternoon of shopping in Penzance. St. Ives offers a beautiful harbour, quality gift shops full of trinkets and a thriving community of artists. The open-air Minack Theatre overlooking the beach at Porthcurno is definitely worth a look, as well as visiting the many filming locations of the BBC's Poldark. The perfect base for making some memories.

The charming village of Pendeen is situated on the Penwith Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty, in North West Cornwall. There is also a wonderful lighthouse tucked away from the centre of the village, where you can marvel at the most spectacular sea views, stretching for miles. Perfect for exploring this lesser-known area of the county, there are so many fantastic things to see and do; from exploring the rugged coastline to pulling on your walking boots and criss-crossing the beautiful countryside, with public footpaths at every turn! The beaches in this section of Cornwall are fantastic and there are so many coastal villages and attractions that will keep you busy. Enjoy shopping in Penzance, discover hidden gems in St Ives' many harbour-front galleries, or find the perfect trinkets to take home in the novelty shops of Mousehole. The open-air Minack Theatre overlooking the stunning beach at Porthcurno should definitely go on the 'to visit' list, and you can also enjoy visiting the many filming locations of the BBC's, Poldark. Great contact with owners. House very well equipped with quality accessories and every home comfort. Access to property is very limited for above average sized vehicles which should be mentioned. We had a VW transporter and access is very tight, which is bad design as owners own the land into house. We also found the water temperature to be set too low for a bath as only hand hot, this house had eco features so this may be the reason. The property itself was extremely warm and comfortable though. Key safe does need replacing as we struggled to gain access to key as numbers worn away and catch difficult. Still excellent value and one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in.

The property is very well maintained and has everything you could possibly need for a self catering break. The open plan setting downstairs is perfect for a large group to spread out. Plenty of seating and a log burner for the cold days. Also plenty of logs which is a bonus. Kitchen is big enough for people to cook together and is very well equipped. Bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and bedding. Garden is lovely and safe for kids to play in. Garry and Suzanne are on hand to greet you and deal with any issues (we had none) that may arise. Pendeen is a great spot to explore Cornwall. Lands End is always a good day out. Jeremy's Fish and Chip shop in St Just is very good. We have also stayed in Charlotte's House which is right next door. This is just as nice as Myles View and is identical inside. I highly recommend both of these lovely houses for a relaxing stay in a beautiful corner of the country.
