Unusual round cottage with mezzanine sleeping area, set on a farm

Polean Farm is in a lovely rural location just two miles from historic Looe, with its harbour and great family beach, and only one mile from the harbour village of Polperro. In fact the River Pol borders the farm and a gentle stroll down a lane takes you to the harbour. In the wider area are Looe Monkey Sanctuary, Fowey, The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, many undiscovered sandy coves, and beautiful coastal walking on the South West Coastal pathway. The seven cottages offer a wide range of accommodation suitable for both family and couples, and three are pet friendly. A major attraction at Polean is the safe location and the family friendly activities on offer. There are a variety of animals on site, with weekday daily feeding of orphaned lambs, chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits; as well pony or tractor barrel rides. The farm has a working livery yard and guests are welcome to visit the stables. A very well equipped outdoor activity play area with trampoline and indoor play barn with air-hockey, table football and pool will keep everyone happy at all times of the year. Threpney Byre has the space to accommodate two extra children up to the age of 12 on put-up beds (extra charge of £25 per child) and a cot (free of charge but guests will need to bring their own cot bedding)

Threpney Byre is a most unusual round cottage named after the old coin, and is set in a courtyard with other cottages. A small front patio area leads to the enclosed garden, which has high banks for further privacy. The front door opens into the compact living area with quirky features and beamed ceiling. There is a fitted country cream kitchen/dining space and comfortable seating. An electric log effect fire adds a focal point and complements the oil fired central heating. A ground floor bathroom has both bath and a shower cubicle. Open stairs lead to a mezzanine spacious double bedroom in the rounded eaves, with a sloping beamed ceiling.

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Living/dining/kitchen, LCD TV with freeview and DVD. Kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and basin.  First floor mezzanine: Bedroom with Double.
