Experience - The Area...

Quietly nestled into surrounding woodland on the edge of Burlawn with fabulous views out across Bishop's and Hustyn's woods is Bamboo House an exceptional holiday home of the highest standard providing spacious accommodation for eight.

The village of Burlawn is just 2 miles from the popular Cornish market town of Wadebridge with selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. In addition, Wadebridge offers a choice of supermarkets, leisure centre with swimming pool and two screen cinema. The Camel bicycle trail starts from Wadebridge and will take you to Dunmere near Bodmin or across to Padstow cycling alongside the Camel river.

Forestry Commission owned Bishop's Wood is a short walk from Bamboo House and is dog friendly with an array of interesting woodland walks at your disposal. The Polbrock car park by the wood is a popular spot for fishing and there are steps down to the Camel River from which kayaks and canoes can be launched.

Nearby is Hustyns Hotel and Spa. The hotel brasserie serves breakfast and evening dinner throughout the week. The indoor pool, steam room, sauna, fitness suite and infinity spa are also available to non-residents for a charge.

The nearest beaches can be found at Rock, Daymer (dog friendly) and Polzeath and are reached within a half hour drive of Bamboo House. 

Stay - The Accommodation...

Deliberately designed to maximise from the gorgeous woodland views and with the highest specification finish throughout, Bamboo House provides high quality, conveniently located accommodation for the larger family or friendly get together and is within striking distance of some of Cornwall's most popular visitor destinations.

The front door opens into a smart entrance foyer with handy WC, study room with desk and utility /boot room all off to one side. Immediately in front of you is the stunning open plan living space with bi-folding doors leading out onto an enclosed glass balustrade balcony with fabulous views. Engineered oak flooring mixed with modern and traditional interior design plus an abundance of comfy seating styles and wood burner will ensure that your stay at Bamboo is a very comfortable one.

The beautiful shaker style kitchen with butchers block work surfacing, central island unit with upholstered bar stools for is superbly equipped. All the usual appliances are provided including a large American fridge freezer, double oven and induction hob. A large dining table with comfortable seating takes centre stage.

Smart oak stairs lead down to the four bedrooms and bathrooms. At the bottom of the stairs is the exceptionally spacious master bedroom with super king bed, walk-in wardrobe and walk-in shower WC ensuite. A pair of doors lead out into the garden from this particular bedroom. The ensuite has a useful dual shower function with fixed rainfall shower head and separate handheld shower attachment. The two twin bedrooms with 3ft beds are also located to the rear of the property overlooking the garden and share the family bathroom WC with feature bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and heated towel rail. To the far side of the ground floor is the king bedroom with shower WC ensuite.

All four bedrooms have luxurious pile carpeting, sumptuously comfortable beds and ample hanging and drawer space. There is a Freeview television in each bedroom (excluding the king bedroom).

The property is efficently heated by oil fired central heating with the wood burner providing supplementary heating if required.

Outside to the front is a large gravel area for parking up to 4 cars. From here, the private lawn garden at the rear can be accessed with a set of steep steps at each end of the property - young children will need to be supervised when using the steps and garden. The slightly sloping garden to the rear is mainly enclosed but please ensure pets are supervised when using the garden area. Ample garden furniture along with gas barbecue have been provided for your enjoyment and use.
