Blue Bay Beach House in Newquay, Cornwall, is a spacious property with stunning views, well-suited for large gatherings. Guests have enjoyed its ample room, well-equipped kitchen, and the beautiful garden with a hot tub. The proximity to the beach and local amenities adds to its charm, despite some feedback on maintenance and cleanliness.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests have reported that the property could benefit from a deeper clean, with some surfaces and glassware needing attention upon arrival. However, there are also mentions of freshly painted rooms and new towels, indicating efforts to maintain cleanliness.

The property boasts beautiful views and is well-located for beach access, despite a steep return walk. Its proximity to local attractions and amenities in Mawgan Porth and Newquay is highly appreciated by guests.

The majority of guests found the property comfortable, with plenty of space and en-suite rooms. However, some smaller rooms were less comfortable, and there were issues with dampness in an annex room.

The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and garden facilities, including a hot tub. Nonetheless, some guests noted that certain rooms lacked TVs and tea-making facilities, and there were maintenance issues like non-functioning door locks and toilet flushes.

While guests have mentioned the welcoming nature of the hosts and the provision of new towels, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

It is well kitted out but quite grubby and not as clean as previous houses we have rented. Rooms and bathrooms in need of updating.

!. Owners kept enough distance but were available when we needed them. (live behind the property). The views, the kitchen, the large dinning area were the biggest plus points as well as the hot tub. Some of the Annex rooms felt a little damp but then again it did rain for 2 weeks solid. Could do with more Wardrobe space and a few more TV's (or larger ones in some rooms).

It is well equipped, for cooking large family meals, it is comfortable and homely and just right so we felt able to relax and enjoy our time together. The garden has plenty of seating bbq and hot tub, all well used by us. The walk to the beach is steep down hill and we often opted for the bus coming back although the fitter ones would walk. There are many options for eating out and takeaway deliveries or nearby collection. We had 3 generations staying from toddlers to retirees and all had a great time, half of the group enjoyed a surfing lesson. The views from the house and garden are amazing and I highly recommend a stay at Blue Bay Beach House and Mawgan Porth.
