Tucked away in the corner of a private courtyard housing 5 holiday cottages, Poldhu is a delightful cottage located behind the church in the heart of Mullion village on the Lizard Peninsula. After parking directly outside the cottage, you enter through the porch into the open-plan living room with two comfy sofas and a seating area. There are two bedrooms; a double and a twin, and a bathroom offering you the luxury of a good soak after walking along the stunning coastline or spending a day on the beach. Mullion, a village on the Lizard Peninsula, is five from Helston and Lizard Point, the most southerly point in Britain. The village houses a selection of restaurants, shops and pubs as well as Mullion Meadows Chocolate Factory and coffee shop and Mullion Cove. Helston is a market town hosting the Flora Day Festival and the Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is Poldark Mine, well worth a look. Further afield are Falmouth and Land's End.

Within a few minutes walk of a small shop selling groceries. We loved the well kept flowers, that surround each bungalow giving extra privacy, as well as the lovely private courtyard. Very friendly owner who is there if you need something, but otherwise leaves you to get on with your break. We were a short car drive to the Lizard Peninsula which has breathtaking views. A perfect break away from home!

The description doesn't include the shared entry details as there are 2 cottages together, with separate access doors. Parking is alongside so not far to unload your car. Inside has a spacious lounge dining area. Two bedrooms at far end with very comfortable beds. A very small kitchen with all you need provided. There is a courtyard outside with your own chairs tables and BBQ area, its private, although next door has the same, divided by open screening. You can listen and watch the birds too, a view of the top church is visible over the retaining wall. Lovely place to relax after your day. There are plenty of walks , no need for the car really. Take the coastal paths and enjoy spectacular views and the beaches. There is a local bus service too which you can use, quite cheaply. Local shops for grocery all in a few minutes. There is a small cafe at the top of drive , open all year. Alex and Pat the owners are very welcoming, hope to be back again soon. Truly a gem of a place to visit.

We came by train so really appreciated being in the heart of the village with shops within a minute's walk. Enjoyed walking to Poldhu and Polurrian beaches and down to the Chocolate factory and Mullion Cove. Bus trips to Helston and further afield. The cottage itself was delightful. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and with every convenience and comfort. Listening to the birdsong in our beautiful courtyard garden was so calming and peaceful. Stunning display of flowers at the front of the property with foxgloves, lupins, peonies, irises and delphiniums in full bloom. A big thank you to Pat and Alec, the owners, who were so welcoming and helpful.
