About this property

A stunning coastal retreat with bay views, just 300 yards from Polstreath Beach

Lower Deck is a bright and spacious garden apartment that’s been carefully designed to showcase its striking bay views in style.  Little touches such as the woodburner, window seating and enclosed garden make it the perfect property for those keen to take time out together and just enjoy their surroundings.

With its own covered terrace looking directly over Mevagissey’s bustling fishing harbour and out to sea, Lower Deck is a welcoming retreat where you can enjoy the beauty of the Cornish coastline without leaving your chair.

Inside, Lower Decks benefits from open-plan living made to feel all the more spacious thanks to the huge windows that flood the room with panoramic views of the bay.  If you step outside onto the terrace you can take a moment to appreciate the uninterrupted views of Mevagissey harbour. In fact, thanks to the table and chairs on the terrace you can enjoy the novelty of watching harbour life unfold while you dine.

Fancy a quieter moment? There’s a large sun-filled conservatory overlooking the garden which is ideal for putting your feet up after a long day of coastal walking, soaking up the sun on a nearby beach, or pottering through the winding streets of Mevagissey.

Since Lower Deck is just a short stroll from the harbour, when you don’t fancy cooking there are several wonderful eateries with locally caught fresh seafood on the menu.  Finish off your evening with a pint in one of Mevagissey’s renowned pubs.

Don’t forget to enjoy all that’s on offer nearby.  A memorable day trip to the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the Eden Project is only a short drive away.  Exhilarating coastal walks are literally on your doorstep with stunning local beaches just minutes away.  Alternatively why not take a ferry trip to Fowey, hire some sea kayaks or go on a mackerel fishing trip from the harbour: perfect to grill on the barbeque for those long summer evenings when al fresco cooking and dining appeals.

The Lower Deck Mevagissey is a perfect little retreat for a quiet break away. The views over the harbour are beautiful and we spent a lot of time taking pictures of the skyline at different times of the day and night. The interior is just as big a plus as the views. Modern clean kitchen area, a lovely little conservatory, bright and warm. The bedrooms are in-keeping with the rest of the property, well decorated and clean and the bed was really comfortable. We loved the tiled bathroom and the shower was great. It took us a while to work out the central heating, but that was down more to me not reading the instructions fully ( I am a bloke after all ). We spent a bit of time in Mevagissey itself, eating out at Roovrays and the Salamander, both of which we highly recommend ( the Salamander just edges it for us, but two lovely meals ). I would also recommend the Sharksfin, although we only had coffee in there a couple of times, the last time we were there we had a really nice meal. All in all we had a fantastic break and are already thinking about next years holiday

Phoned property manager two days in advance for key safe number which worked well. Not much mention of the view from the property online so it was a lovely surprise on arrival to see excellent views of the harbour and out to sea - a real bonus. The property was immaculately clean and very well equipped. No complaints.

We have just spent a quiet relaxing 4 days at this excellent holiday appartment. We could not fault a thing about the property, location, environment and the overall experience. Inside Lower Deck you will find a warm, friendly, clean and spacious holiday appartment. So cosy, especially the conservatory: beds were spacious and comfortable, sitting room with log burner, wonderful on a cold wet evening. We couldn't ask for more.....but then we had the view of the outer harbour from the sitting room window....so interesting. We shall certainly go again.
