About this property

Tregoney House is located in the heart of the charming fishing village of Mevagissey with the beautiful harbour just a moments walk away. Designed for families and friends with ample space to eat, sleep and relax, this smart 18th century townhouse is perfect for a traditional seaside holiday. It couldn’t be handier for soaking up the quintessential Cornish vibe and exploring all that Cornwall’s south coast has to offer.

Tregoney House sits in a roadside position away from the main thoroughfare but temptingly close to the cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops and galleries that line the quaint streets. Head from the entrance hall to a generous sitting dining room. A large corner sofa lavished with cushions and throws and a wall mounted TV sit at one end and a chunky dining table for sociable mealtimes sits at the other. Continue to the sleek kitchen with high gloss aubergine cabinets and all the mod cons. The utility is well equipped and practical for wellies and wet suits. There are four comfortable bedrooms to choose from, each equipped with a TV and an en-suite bathroom. Spread over three floors, there are two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a fourth bedroom with zip and link beds which can be presented as a double or twin on request. Enjoy the convenience of the location with beaches galore and miles of stunning coast path close by. The sandy beaches at Pentewan, Portmellon and Gorran Haven are safe for bathing and less than a ten minute drive. Walk the scenic coast path or hop on a passenger ferry to the exclusive waterfront town of Fowey with its yachts, boutiquey shops and harbour front restaurants and pubs. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the world famous Eden Project with its rain forest biomes is a must for garden enthusiasts. The historic port of Charlestown, as featured in the BBC’s Poldark series, is within a short drive. For cyclists there is the Pentewan woodland and riverside trail and for golfers there is a coastal golf course at Carlyon Bay. Ideal for breaks at anytime of year, groups large and small will love Tregoney House.

The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
