Perhaps the most striking feature is the master en-suite bedroom with its ocean views, antique four poster bed and chaise longue or, if it is an atmosphere for entertaining, then the kitchen/diner which boasts a wood burner beside a farmhouse dining table, every conceivable appliance including a range cooker and doors to the enclosed rear garden equipped with a brick barbecue and patio furniture. Adults can retire to the comfy sitting room and the warmth of an open fire in the cooler months and for children there is an entertainment room on the top floor equipped with a second TV, wireless broadband, hi-fi, games and a pair of tripod mounted binoculars. The property is full of books, from new to very old, with a plethora of subjects, so put your feet up and get lost in a few. Mevagissey village and harbour, which still operates a small fleet and pleasure boats, is a ten minute walk along narrow streets lined with fishermen cottages, old inns, restaurants and galleries. Convenient for the beaches at Polstreath, Pentewan and Gorran Haven and within a 10 mile radius of the renowned Eden Project, the award winning Lost Gardens of Heligan, the exclusive waterfront town of Fowey and harbourside village of St Mawes. Mevagissey is the perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September.
