Skiber Goth is a quaint and cosy cottage in a peaceful rural setting, ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat. Guests appreciated the welcome pack and found the property to be well-equipped for a comfortable stay, with some enjoying the lack of connectivity as an opportunity for quality family time. The location offers easy access to local attractions, and the property is dog-friendly.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests finding the cottage to be clean and comfortable, while others reported issues with rubbish, cobwebs, flies, and general cleanliness. The negative comments suggest room for improvement in this area.

The cottage's location is generally praised for its beautiful rural setting and quietness, though some guests found the remoteness and narrow access lanes challenging. Limited mobile signal and internet connectivity were noted, but the proximity to local attractions was appreciated.

Comfort levels are seen as adequate with a cosy atmosphere, though some guests mentioned issues with heat, poor ventilation, and the quality of mattresses and pillows. The mix of positive and negative feedback reflects a satisfactory but not exceptional level of comfort.

Facilities are generally seen as good, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, and dishwasher. However, there are several complaints about Wi-Fi reliability, flies, and the need for maintenance and better provision of cooking utensils.

Many guests were delighted by the welcome pack, which often included scones, jam, and clotted cream. This gesture was frequently mentioned and appreciated, although it should be noted that such gifts are a kind bonus and not a guaranteed amenity.

It had everything we needed. The mattress on the double bed desperately needs replacing though it's worn out. Cleaning also needs more attention in general.

The welcome pack was also fab. The door lock on the bathroom which had been previously mentioned by others came out and my daughter got locked in so that really needs to be rectified as it really scared her. The bathroom is very damp and it wasn’t as clean as it could be around the seals. The double bed mattress definitely changing, it was so uncomfortable. If these problems were rectified then we would definitely stay again as the location and decor in the living area was lovely and everything was provided to have a lovely stay with our puppy. Even the enclosed garden area.

Had everything we needed and a lovely welcome with a cream tea left for us in the fridge.
