Snaptrip says

Guests have praised the holiday rental for its peaceful and private setting, comfortable accommodations, and attentive service. The property's proximity to beaches and walking paths, as well as the inclusion of a heated pool, are frequently mentioned highlights. While most reviews are positive, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the property well-maintained and clean, with several positive remarks about its tidiness. However, a few guests mentioned cleanliness issues, particularly with kitchen equipment and bathrooms, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to beaches, and beautiful surroundings. Guests appreciate the easy access to local amenities and scenic walks, making the location almost ideal.

The majority of guests found the property comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere and peaceful environment. Comfortable beds were also highlighted. However, some guests reported discomfort with the living room furniture and the layout of the sleeping arrangements.

Facilities like the heated swimming pool and the welcome basket were well-received. Nonetheless, there were several mentions of maintenance issues such as faulty light fittings, damaged furniture, and unavailable sauna, which impacts the score.

Guests frequently expressed appreciation for the thoughtful touches, such as welcome baskets and treats for pets. While these gestures are warmly received, it should be noted that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

We stayed at Pilgrims Progress for a week after Christmas and over the New Year. The accommodation was adorable and very homely and we would definitely stay again. The private use of the heated pool was exceptional. Each of the 5 cottages are given 1.5h daily timeslots on a rota. Fortunately for us, most of the other cottages were empty, so we could change our times to suit our other activities. The building that houses the pool is extra special, and I never tired of looking up at the ancient (and not to ancient) roof timbers and the underside of the thatch whilst swimming. I am a Building Surveyor though. The games room is also great, and we spent several hours playing air hockey and pool with the kids. The pool table has a bit of a mind of its own, but its still great fun. The lovely sandy beach is about 5 minute walk along a track and fantastic for walking the dog on blustery winter days. The only downside with the Pilgrims Progress cottage maybe for some, is that the bedroom is a mezzanine over the kitchen and accessed by a set of steep timber steps with no handrail and a very low beam at the top. If you have mobility problems or young children, this may be a concern. Our dog climbed them once, and we had difficulty getting him down (35kg Old English Sheepdog). After that we had to barricade the bottom with a chair so he couldn't get up them. All in all, wonderful place to stay.

We had a lovely trip to Norfolk despite the weather. Accommodation was great for us and Prosecco on arrival very much appreciated. Pool / sauna access with rotated time for each cottage made the trip. Manager really helpful and dealt with faulty toaster very promptly. Cleanliness of kitchen equipment and bathroom could have been better on arrival.

Both of the couches in the property were damaged to the extent that it was impossible to sit on them comfortably, which meant it was impossible to be comfortable during the evenings. The furniture was different and in far poorer condition than that shown in the various photos of the property seen on-line. The double bed was in the mezzanine and is not a king, it's barely a double. Again, various photos seen on-line showed the singles on the mezzanine and the double in the ground floor bedroom - this is the most inconvenient layout thinkable - two near pensioners having to climb what is effectively a ladder to go to bed, is ridiculous. The property doesn't have central heating, there are three electric panel heaters and a towel rail. As a consequence, and given that we went in Autumn, the property took hours to warm up and was generally cold and a bit damp and musty. Several of the light fittings didn't work, which meant the living room was invariably dark - it was impossible to read anything. The TV hasn't been updated and therefore, several HD channels are missing. The TV clock is vastly inaccurate and cannot be reset as within half an hour its up to twelve hours pit of sync, which means the EPG can't be accessed. The bath isn't suitable for use as a shower - I slipped and fell over twice, badly hurting my ankle in the process, despite using the cheap, discoloured, useless, non-slip mat supplied for the purpose. There is also a durgo in the bathroom, connected to the soil pipework which is either not working correctly or is not suitable for installation in that position - the bathroom stinks of sewage all the time. The bed's are comfortable, which is a big deal, because at least you can get a good night's sleep and if the living room furniture and shower arrangements were sorted it would be a reasonable place to stay.
