About this property

Seagulls Perch is situated on a private lane, looking down over the beach in Mawgan Porth. It’s a semi-detached, custom-built, split-level house with superb beach and sea views. The level entry is in to the very large kitchen-dining room, then through to the living room with those great views and a balustrade. At this level there is a WC. Head downstairs to two bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms , a king-size double with a balustrade that leads down to the terrace, and a double with a day bed. A gravelled path and steps also leads to the terrace which is a great place for al fresco dining, or sundowners ; lovely sunsets. And there is a paved area for storing surfboards and drying wetsuits. The beach is only a few minutes walk down a steep footpath, but it might take a little longer getting back! And there is an excellent hotel restaurant and bar, two minutes stroll away. And when you're not surfing, there's nearby Newquay, Watergate Bay or Padstow to visit and explore.

Nestled between Newquay and Padstow on the beautiful north Cornish coast, Mawgan Porth is a sheltered cove with golden sandy beach, great surf and plenty of caves and coastal footpath to explore.

It provides everything you need for a great beach holiday. Friendly but not intrusive owner next door, good parking and walk to beach access all be it with a climb back. If there wasn't then there wouldn't be that view! If there was one criticism it was the lack of homeliness. This is a personal thing but things just felt a bit sanitised, perhaps a carry over from Covid. We had a great week and would recommend.

Great coastal walks from the door and a short walk to the sandy beach at Mawgan Porth. Very comfortable accommodation, with a well-stocked and spacious kitchen and dining area. The weather didn't allow us to really enjoy the decking area, but I'd imagine it is wonderful to enjoy on a sunny evening. An enjoyable stay, thank you.
