Beach View is a beautiful detached bungalow ideal for couples and families with young children, wanting a more select, peaceful location. The property is situated on the cliff side overlooking the beach in the picturesque village of Mawgan Porth. The property is all on one level and is finished to a high standard throughout in a contemporary style. Outside the property benefits from a furnished sun terrace that boasts spectacular views of Mawgan Porth Bay.
Mawgan Porth has a small supermarket/deli for essentials, a newsagent, surf store and surf school. Nearby there is also a farm that sells free range eggs, meat, vegetables, cakes and bread. In terms of food and drink, there is a family friendly pub with large beer garden and play area and a family friendly bistro serving locally caught fish, burgers and pizzas. Not to forget The Scarlet restaurant, headed up by Michelin award-winning chef, just down the road.
Beach View is in an ideal location just a short walk down the cliff path to Mawgan Porth’s family friendly beach. The beach has plenty of rock pools to explore and sand dunes, whilst the dramatic cliffs provide a picturesque backdrop. Mawgan Porth beach is also great for surfing with lifeguards present from May-September.
The property is set just off the South West Coast Path, along which you can walk to Watergate Bay or towards Padstow. Watergate Bay is on the one side, home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant and the stunning Bedruthan Steps are on the other, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The centre of Newquay is a 15 minute drive from the property and has many attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars/nightclubs. For those looking to leave the car at home, Newquay airport is less than 10 minutes away by taxi, and there is plenty to see and do on foot.
Whether you are looking for a great beach holiday, or just a short break to recharge your batteries, Mawgan Porth is the ideal location to relax.

...a family of three my daughter who is nine found the sofa bed very comfy. Also very clean and everything you need I would defiantly recommend. ...perfectly presented, clean and welcoming and Sarah made it really easy for us after a 6 hour drive! It's the second time we have stayed at Beach View and as before, it was perfect. It was short, beach break for myself and my teenage daughter, and we spent most of our time in the surf. The proximity to the beach made it easy to exploit the time we had, with warm showers available within 10 mins from the surf......Perfect! ...run up to our holiday last week we were pleasantly surprised at the week that we had in Mawgan Porth for Feb 2014 Half Term. The property at Beach View was well equipped for the three of us as (husband, myself & our three year old)! We took our little one's camp bed and she slept happily at the foot of our bed for the week and there was plenty of room to move around. Beach View was lovely and warm and toasty, no complaints. The view of the beach is a little limited from the house but the noise of the sea at night was very soothing after a busy day visiting different parts of the county. We used this as our base and visited Padstow three time during our stay, we also drove down to St Ives and had a day in Truro. The kitchen and bathroom are lovely the property was very clean and tidy on arrival and the benefit of a washing machine with a small child who loves exploring the beach is always a massive plus. Only down side as the lounge furniture was just not very comfortable which when you want to sit in the evening and watch film or read is very frustrating!! Submitted by Katherine on 24/02/2014
