At the rear of the property, a small walled and gated garden benefits from the mid-morning and evening sun and has a paved terrace set beneath a pergola, little area of lawn and a useful outside tap for when returning from the beach. The splendid sandy beaches are only a 2 minute walk down the hill as are a selection of local shops, restaurants, pubs and art galleries. The rspb Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve is favoured by birdwatchers and the famous attraction of St Michael's Mount can be reached on foot over a causeway at low tide, or by foot ferry at high tide. There is a local bus route that connects to the shopping town of Penzance, 3 miles, where there is a railway station and a regular ferry service to the Isles of Scilly.
