About this property

A beautifully styled coastal cottage set in a stunning, secluded, creekside village, September Cottage, recently refurbished boasts modern and contemporary accommodation. Step into the airy living room with sumptuously generous corner sofa, cosy woodburner, and bleached tiled flooring. Neutral tones add to the spacious feeling throughout. You will find an open-plan fitted kitchen and dining area. It has all the appliances you could need housed within lovely, contemporary white units with stone worktops. There is a social dining space with seating for up to four people. Two welcoming bedrooms await you on the first floor, one double and one twin, with crisp white and grey hues creating a relaxed ambiance. Creek and green valley views can be spied from the twin bedroom. Both bedrooms have a light decor and ample storage space for your personal belongings. The family bathroom is pristine with a bath and overhead rain shower, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. September Cottage is perfectly positioned in the heart of Helford on the south bank of the Helford River. Locally, there is a village store, the Shipwrights Arms and the Helford River sailing club all within a few minutes’ walk. With country and creekside walks, water adventures in hired kayaks and boat trips all close by, you could be tempted not to hop in the car and discover the stunning beaches and famous gardens within easy reach. The Lizard Peninsula has a wealth of must-see destinations including the stunning beach at Kynance Cove set against dramatic cliffs with a café for refreshments, and Coverack and Cadgwith are charmingly quaint coastal villages. After a fun day of water adventures, creekside rambles and explorations in the Cornish sunshine, enjoy a bite to eat in the village pub aside the creek and return to sublime September Cottage, the most idyllic retreat for family, friends and couples any time of year.

Helford is a picturesque village on the south side of the Helford River, a much-loved destination with a stunning creek, thatched cottages, excellent village stores and The Shipwrights Arms, right on the edge of the water, with its riverside terrace. Just a short stroll away is Frenchman’s Creek, immortalised by Daphne du Maurier. The Helford River Sailing Club is very popular and the regatta is held every August. In the summer, a passenger ferry runs to Helford passage, the home of the Ferryboat Inn, and nearby to the gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan. The wildlife on the Helford River is diverse and a birdwatcher’s paradise.
