… ¾ mile from Manaccan and just 100 yards from the head of Gillan Creek, in a magical setting, a cottage converted from an 18th cent. threshing barn with some low lintels, knobbly walls and beams. It faces over its extensive award-winning gardens (picnic table, barbecue) and woodland (15 acres in all), through which a sparkling little stream runs, with kingcups, cherry blossom, magnolia and a host of other plants, making this a very special place. All is for you to explore and enjoy (a birdwatcher’s delight), but small children should be supervised. Attached to one side of the cottage, a disused old stable and cart shed and there is plenty of car/boat parking space. A mile of creekside lane leads to the beach at St Anthony-in-Meneage and boat hire.
