About this property

A delightful cottage, full of character and close to the beachA delightful cottage, full of character and close to the beach

Lyndale Cottage is a delightful Grade II Listed cottage, full of character and situated on the beautiful Rame Peninsula, in the historic village of Kingsand. The cottage is the second oldest in the village and was built from parts of a ship that had been wrecked on the Eddy Stone Rock.

Kingsand and Cawsand offer a haven of peace and tranquility. Relax on the beach, in one of the village pubs or cafes or take a stroll through the narrow streets of colour washed cottages and shops that follow.

Swimming, fishing, windsurfing and water skiing are all available on the beaches or you can follow the coast path through the village and the Mount Edgcumbe estate to Cremyll. In the other direction the coast path takes you round the headland to the glorious sandy beach of Whitsand Bay.

From Cawsand, and just a few minutes' walk from the property, you can take a passenger ferry across to the city of Plymouth which offers an abundance of high street and independent shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, theatres and attractions to suit everyone. The Barbican and Hoe are steeped in history and are definitely worth a visit.

If you're feeling energetic then Dartmoor is a mere half an hour away as are Looe and Polperro. Bodmin Moor is only 45 minutes.
Please note that no rail/bannister is fitted on the stairs.

...imagined from the web site with the exception that we could not get any TV reception and one of the cooker rings did not work. This did not detract from our overall enjoyment of the holiday as we mostly eat out and we don't watch much TV. The public car park charges were very reasonable and the key safe a good idea as we arrived at 5am. Hope this is helpful. Submitted by Brian on 08/04/2014
