About this property

On the edge of West Penwith Moors, this delightfully peaceful retreat provides beautifully presented accommodation near Penzance, West Cornwall. A hidden gem and surrounded by countryside, this lovely house is a wonderful choice for a family holiday. There are three spacious and beautifully elegant bedrooms and why not spoil yourself in the free standing bath in the Edwardian-style bathroom. Arches link the conservatory, dining and kitchen areas giving an open plan feel and you can certainly lose a few hours sitting in the conservatory and listening to the birds, admiring the countryside views and the uninterrupted night sky. Step outside and you will find a fabulous garden for al fresco dining or just relaxing in. An exceptional setting, surrounded by mature trees, a gentle stream and rolling countryside but if you can tear yourself away, there are seaside towns, villages and sandy beaches all within easy driving distance. A trip to Marazion is just a short drive away, where St Michael’s Mount is a prominent feature, or maybe explore the art galleries of St Ives with its sandy beaches and boat trips. The white sands of Sennen Cove, are awash with surfers, swimmers and sun worshippers in the summer months and quiet and serene during those winter breaks. Walkers, cyclists and horse riders will love this location with its rugged landscape and wonderful scenery. A delightful holiday destination away from the demands of modern living, perfect for spending quality time with the family.

One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.

Warm during our stay end of October. Very well equipped, gorgeous location. It was a pleasure to meet Mike, who made us feel welcome. Cream scones and flowers; a lovely touch. Would be very happy to return without hesitation.
