What an amazing cottage The Ancient Cottage is. The photos do not do it justice. It is beautifully decorated throughout to a very high standard and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The sofas and beds are extremely comfortable and it's location set in the woods by the river was by far the icing on the cake. Despite the wet weather we had some amazing walks with our dog who loved to explore the woods. What a wonderful place to spend our family Christmas.

This really is a hidden gem of a property. So close to so many wonderful places to host yet secluded and tucked away in its own private paradise.The house is stunning and has everything you could possibly wish for. Amazingly high quality comfortable beds, wide range of cooking equipment, lovely fires and comfy sofas. Can’t wait to get back
