A former fisherman's cottage packed with charm and character just a stone's throw from West Looe Harbour.

This charming fisherman's cottage was originally built in the 1800's and is in a quiet, tucked away location yet very close to the harbour in West Looe. Bake Cottage lies within a minute's walk of West Looe Quay where visitors can see fishermen at work or book a coastal cruise, glass bottom boat trip, fishing trip or speed boat ride. A couple of characterful pubs are nearby including one rumoured to be the oldest in Cornwall. Cross the bridge or take a 40p boat taxi (tide permitting) to East Looe where the pier, long sandy beach and the town's many independent shops, pubs and cafes are waiting to be explored. For longer walks, meander around the corner to Hannafore Bay with its lovely views over Looe Island, and join the spectacular South West Coastal Path heading towards Polperro. Further afield the fascinating Eden Project is just 40 minutes by car or a trip to Plymouth is the same distance in the other direction.  Oozing charm and character with its old thick walls and beamed ceiling Bake Cottage is warm and welcoming. The lounge has a cosy woodburning stove and stairs leading upstairs to a double and twin bunk-bedded room and bathroom. Downstairs there is a cheerful kitchen/diner and outside a small patio with a table and two chairs which is ideal for a morning coffee.

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Beamed lounge with 40inch TV/DVD and Sky Freeview. Gas wood burning stove. Kitchen with Belling Range Cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and table and 4 stools. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with Double and TV. Bedroom 2 with Bunk Beds. Bathroom with shower attachment over bath, WC and basin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and bath towels. Gas CH. No smoking. Regret no pets. Travel cot and highchair available. Iron and ironing board. Hairdryer. Although there is no parking with the cottage you can park at the Mill Pool Car Park around 6 mins walk away for £30.30 pw, or free at Hannafore sea front around 20 mins walk. Outside of stated times, guests to cover their own parking costs. Loading/unloading within yards of the cottage. Short breaks available.  Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
