Small yet perfectly comfortable for the two of us. Lovely comfortable bed which makes all the difference. Excellent location for shops, restaurants and beach.

We enjoyed our stay at Dovekie, it is very modern and has all modern appliances, everything you could need. Even a hairdryer. The location was excellent, we traveled down to Looe by train from Suffolk and everything was within 5-10 mins walking distance. The beach was less than a minutes walk turning left out of the property and the little town was the same turning right out of the property. There are two flights of stairs at Dovekie, it is a lovely quaint fisherman’s cottage. Looe is a pretty little fishing town spread over two halves, East and West. The town itself is flat but surrounding areas are hilly but do come with gorgeous views. We walked to Millendreath Beach and part way to polperro, again hilly but worth it. Sarah’s pasty shop is at the end of the lane which Dovekie is situated and we both agree they are the best pasties, well worth a visit or two. Also Sarah’s cake shop just round the corner, lovely Viennese whirls. For a place to drink we recommend The Plough by the quay, over 30 Gins to try. The barmaids knew all about the local gins and how to serve them, very friendly place. We did an online shop with Tesco’s and had it delivered the evening we arrived. Lots to see and do in Looe, lovely accommodation what more could you ask for. We would return!
