Located in an iconic setting, right on the historic Harbour Bridge and adjacent to the slipway in the unspoilt fishing village of Polperro, is this cosy, compact and beautifully furnished apartment which has retained its original charm with views that are hard to match anywhere. Wander through the traffic-free streets to the famous Roman bridge in what is possibly Cornwall's prettiest village. Ascending the steps to the first floor apartment you will enter into a comfortable and airy open plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a Smart TV, all looking out directly over the beautiful harbour and local shops. There is one double bedroom also with a Smart TV, adequate storage areas and an en-suite shower room. From the property you have a choice of excellent restaurants and cafes, famous for fresh seafood caught by the local fishermen both adjacent to the apartment and in the shopping centre just a two minute walk away. The small harbour, once a thriving centre for smuggling is now full of colourful boats, whilst the smuggling interest resides in a museum alongside the harbour. Of the four inns at the end of the quay is the famous old Blue Peter Inn, one of the finest in the county and with everything you would want from a classic pub; superb food, a range of local ales and roaring fires in the winter. On the other side of Harbour Bridge is The House on Props, which is a renowned property and quality restaurant. Dotted around the village are several galleries selling works by local artists as well as an abundance of unusual independent shops. Walkers are spoilt for choice with the coastal path either side of the harbour offering spectacular views and access to beautiful and often quiet beaches. Talland Bay, a magical cove with two small beaches with great rock pools to explore, has a beach cafe with Cornish cream teas you’ll never forget. Also the historical fishing town of Looe which is a hive of activity with many pubs, restaurants and shops is just a short drive away. With the coastline here being part of the 80 mile long south Cornwall Heritage Coast, there will never be enough time to see all the lovely villages and coves that are dotted around the area. Harbour Bridge really does offer the perfect location for a romantic break or holiday at any time of year.
