Petite Maison is a detached house in the romantic French style located in the village and approached over a small bridge which crosses over the River Pol. It also has the enviable benefits of its own private drive and parking.
This 5 Star rated cottage is furnished to a high standard throughout whilst offering many character features such as antique paintings, French style mirrors and crystal chandeliers.
Situated in the The Coombe, Polperro, this property benefits from a private furnished patio and is just a short walk away from a small sandy beach. It is also close to the local pub which has live music, restaurants, the minature village, local golf courses and Polperro Harbour.
Polperro is arguably one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall, characterised by a jumble of fishermen’s cottages and colourful boats anchored in the harbour. Here you will also find a handful of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants to enjoy along with the Polperro Museum and The Shell House - a popular local attraction. The area is also ideal for keen walkers, with spectacular coastal walks within easy reach, such as the nearby cove at Talland Bay where there is an exclusive restaurant, beach and tearooms. There is also a small sandy beach in Polperro at low tide.
Be sure to visit the minature village or take a boat trip from Polperro Harbour. Polperro also hosts a music festival each year and celebrates Bonfire night with spectacular fireworks. There is a local golf course at nearby Looe, National Trust houses, the Duchy Garden Centre and much more within easy reach.
Within a short drive you will reach Looe, a popular resort with gift shops, fish and chip stalls and a popular family-friendly beach. Be sure to also make the short drive to Fowey, a charming fishing town with a selection of boutiques and art galleries. Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival. If you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a cruise along the river.

This is an absolutely beautiful holiday home, right on the main street into Polperro village. It's so pretty that other visitors constantly stop as the pass by to get a proper look! The house itself is newly refurbished, shining like a new pin, the kitchen and bathrooms are fitted out really well and lovely to use. I particularly liked the eat-in kitchen diner which has a really homely feel. There is no sense here that you are "camping out" or "making do" as is often the case in holiday homes - this place is top quality throughout. There is room to park one car, which is a real bonus as most of the holiday cottages in Polperro don't have this and so have to pay the £4 per day to use the public car park (which is also a short walk from the property). The owner (as the name suggests) has chosen to fit this out in a broadly French style - lots of cream-painted wood and soft accents, but it doesn't overpower you either, so the balance is just right. The property is smaller than it looks in the pictures - the bedrooms are pretty small but this just adds to the cosy feel of the place - I just wouldn't try to overload with kids and dogs, and anyway, it's way too nice for that kind of treatment! As a place to stay as a couple we found it a great place to relax, unwind with the papers and curl up for an afternoon nap, especially as we went in mid-feb when the weather was cold. Polperro itself is a cute little fishing village - everyone is really friendly, the best restaurant is the one closest to the door (called The Kitchen), but also don't miss the Blue Peter pub, which is excellent - their meat pies are out of this world. We loved it here and hope to come back again soon.
