About this property

This stylish, contemporary lodge is nestled in a secluded spot on the Stonerush Lakes resort in Lanreath, Cornwall.

This stunning retreat is an ideal spot to unwind after the hustle and bustle of a long day spent exploring the Cornish countryside. The split-level, open-plan living space boasts floor to ceiling windows, has a kitchen with dining area, breakfast bar and a cosy, comfortable sitting area. The master bedroom has luxurious king size bed and an en-suite shower room for a little extra privacy, whilst the kids will be tucked up in a spacious twin room. Outside you'll find a private terrace complete with a well-furnished area perfect for alfresco dining, before dipping into the sunken hot tub to unwind under the stars. Set at the heart of Stonerush Lakes and within an easy walk of your lodge lies the Old Mill Bar and Restaurant offering a charming venue for a delicious meal with views overlooking Miller’s Island lake. With the village of Pelynt only two miles away and the picture-perfect harbour towns of Looe and Polperro sitting a little further afield, 5 Tree Tops is the perfect base to explore the local area.

Lanreath is near Pelynt in Cornwall, which is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, including the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe.

This was our 2nd stay since September last year, and could see there have been some additions made new curtains znd rails and especially some signage and lighting to the steps to the lodge. The accomodation itself is lovely well equipped in the kitchen with all the amenities you need. I contacted reception as there was no iron and a brand new one was sent within 10 mins as were dish washer tablets, very efficient and extremely polite service. Two things I would like to pass comments on which by no means will stop me returning again. One was the main bedroom where the mirror frame hadn't been dusted and walking down the step to the bathroom being a tad taller I could see on top the wardrobe which looked as if it had never been cleaned and still had an electric cable cut off on top,and lying in bed looking up at the roof vent looked covered on the outside in sticky tape removed leaving rhe glass marked. Housekeeping should never have left a bathrobe for use for anyone in the state it was in more holes than material and should not have any excuses in doing so.,also the venetian blinds could do with a once over. Overall would highly recommend very private quiet and a lovely location and I will be back again
