Snaptrip says

7 Water's Edge in Looe, Cornwall, offers a tranquil setting with wildlife and a lake, ideal for a relaxing getaway. Guests appreciate the property's beautiful location, comfortable beds, and the hot tub. The lodge's cleanliness and maintenance received mixed reviews, with some guests noting areas for improvement. The on-site restaurant and the thoughtfulness of a welcome package were well-received, although some guests suggested enhancements.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness has been a point of contention among guests, with several noting that the lodge could be cleaner, mentioning dust and dirty floors. However, some guests found the property clean and tidy upon arrival.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with wildlife and a picturesque lake setting. It's also noted for its proximity to local attractions and beaches.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the lodge spacious. However, there are comments about uncomfortable mattresses and a desire for additional blankets, suggesting room for improvement in comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as broken blinds, loose door handles, and missing keys for doors. The on-site restaurant and bar add value, despite some feedback on service and availability.

While some guests mention a welcome package and appreciate the gesture, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category.

This lodge really gives you a taste of luxury. Enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst relaxing in the hot tub after a long day on your feet, with your own private decking, looking out onto the lake side. It is truly a treat for yourself and your other half. The open plan design is welcoming, allowing you to cook your favourite dishes whilst watching the TV after a long day of exploring. The floor to ceiling windows allow you to catch a glimpse of the lake views so you really get a feel of country life. After a long day you can enjoy a well-earned rest in your king-size bed. The property is completed with a twin room. Set at the heart of Stonerush Lakes and within an easy walk of your lodge lies the Old Mill lakeside bar and restaurant offering a charming venue for a delicious meal or a relaxing drink by the wood burning stove or out on the deck overlooking Miller’s Island. Lanreath is a village in South East Cornwall, five miles West of Looe. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe.

Firstly it would be nice to have more coat hangers, we stopped for a week and there was only 3 per person provided. Secondly the curtains in the main bedroom are covered in mould at the bottom so definitely need replacing. The hot tub is wonderful and the view over the lake is beautiful. It was nice to just sit and watch the birds and squirrels. Very relaxing and peaceful.

The property was very clean and tidy with modern finishings throughout. The balcony overlooked a peaceful lake creating the most relaxing of environments. The hot tub was fabulous, and surprisingly private considering it was at the side of the property. The only thing I might change would be the trees in front of the balcony as it does block the view slightly, that being said it does mean that you have more privacy. An outdoor light would be useful also as it is pitch black apart from the indoor light. These however wouldn’t stop me booking this particular property again. Sally and her team were lovely and welcoming, The Mill restaurant looked lovely however we only had a drink on the outdoor terrace. Overall 10/10 from us! We will be back :)

We were very pleased with the services and facilities and location in peaceful spot by the lake. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, even switching our booking at no extra cost , when our daughter hurt her leg and couldn't go away on the original date. Sally gave us helpful local advice on the best beaches to visit and we did and really loved it. Would recommend and go back. Thank you. [Tiny recommendation for a mattress topper for single bed as springs were bit lumpy for daughter. There is small amount of black round sink due to water not being wiped properly, this is not owner's fault but perhaps some protection could be installed?]
