Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath has a local shop and Post Office, a small museum, the Lanreath Farm and Folk Museum, as well as a parish church. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse which dates back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe.

On arrival we were met by Janet who briefed us on the things we needed to know. Also a lovely surprise was a cream tea laid on the kitchen table and a vase of ''real flowers from the garden. If you require accomadation for 4 or less you won't be dissapointed.

The cottage itself had all you required for a very relaxing break. We had a problem with the loo seat, sink waste and Dishwasher runners, on the way out in the morning we ask the guys if they could have a look and when we got back at tea time all sorted with an apology note and a gift, this was not necessary as if the previous guest had reported the problems then we would had not had to say anything. It was great to be able to pet the horse's,pigs, goats sheep, chicken. Even our dog liked the pigs. Would we go back, IN A HEARTBEAT.
