About this property

Lanivet 2.5 miles. Situated on a serene lakeside holiday park, just 2.5 miles from the village of Lanivet and four miles from Bodmin and a stone’s throw from the A30, is this wonderful, A-frame holiday lodge. 22 Waterside Cornwall is equidistant to the long stretches of beaches and rugged scenery on the north coast, and the golden beaches and quaint fishing villages of the south coast, so families and couples can easily enjoy discovering everything that Cornwall has to offer. The property is fronted by large, floor-to-ceiling glass doors, allowing light to spill into the sociable open plan living space. From the comfy sofas, you can enjoy views of the neighbouring lodges and catch a glimpse of the resident birdlife that frequent the picnic table outside. Beside the sitting area is a compact kitchen, so everyone can chat and plan the day whilst breakfast is cooking. With a welcome pack bursting with local information, you can spend each morning pouring over guides and leaflets at the dining table, to make sure that every day is special. The twin bedroom is on the ground floor with a spacious en-suite and plenty of storage, allowing you to unpack and make yourselves at home. Upstairs you will find a bright double bedroom with a TV for lazy mornings in bed, and double doors leading onto a balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee with a view. Across the hall from the double bedroom is a good-sized modern bathroom with a corner bath and a large separate shower cubicle. The holiday park is wonderful and although it is only a few minutes from the A30, the peace and quiet will amaze you. Geese and moorhens meander around the lake and ponds, as well as a great selection of outdoor activities for you to enjoy on site; walks around the lake, coarse fishing, Segway, wakeboarding and FootGolf! A few minute’s up the road you can join The Saint’s Way walking trail, a beautiful, 27-mile walking route across Cornwall, beginning at the picturesque harbour in Padstow and ending in Fowey. The Eden Project is just short of eight miles away, the UK’s surfing capital, Newquay, is a half hour drive, or if you want to explore a little further, you can enjoy an ice cream at Land’s End in just over an hour in the car! Cornwall is full to the brim with amazing attractions, mesmerising coastal vistas and breathtaking countryside - from such a fantastic base, you’re sure to have a holiday to remember!

Lanivet is a small village just to the west of Bodmin, Lanivet is a collection of picturesque properties, an award-winning fish and chip restaurant, a pub and a few shops. The main town in the area is Bodmin, with its shopping centre and local attractions of the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, the Camel cycle trail, and the Bodmin Jail with its courtroom experience.

Lodge 22 is homely, everything is very well maintained. The owners have thought of everything to offer a very comfortable stay. In my opinion there are no negatives, The Bodmin Holiday Park is also currently undertaking renovations of the swimming pool, fitness centre, restaurant, reception area, the lake, grounds and gardens. I would definitely revisit.

Unfortunately the site had no recycling that we could find , but that seemed the same around the area we stayed , ended up taking home big bag to recycle at home .

The property was nice and bright and clean with lovely decor all round. The second bathroom downstairs is a bonus as the children had their own space. We had a little welcome pack with Cornish biscuits and some other bits like tea, coffee and hot chocolate which was nice. Kitchen was well equiped with with all the essentials and more for self catering. The location was perfect for seeing/ travelling to places in Cornwall. We didn't use the park facilities as went out every day but the site looked nice and well maintained. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you
