There are some pretty nearby villages and the town of Saltash is just 4 miles away where you will find lots of local amenties. The Notter Bridge Inn is just 1 mile away, it sits beside the river, a spacious pub with a conservatory and patio, serving Cornish ales and locally sourced, hearty dishes. The property sits within a smallholding and the owners alpaca farm, the alpacas are in the surrounding fields and make this a really unique experience. As you walk into the cottage there is an open-plan living area with kitchen and dining area, comfy seating and patio doors leading outside, there is also a spacious bedroom and a separate bathroom. The sunny patio, raised upon a four foot-high terrace is ideal for sitting and admiring the rolling countryside and alpacas. An added bonus to staying in this cottage is the opportunity to meet, greet and walk the friendly alpacas on a lead by arrangement with the owners. The town of Saltash is 4 miles away and it offers shops, a spectacular riverside walk along the Tamar Valley and a golf and leisure club. Further up the River Tamar you will find a variety of wildlife including heron, water fowl, salmon and otters, plus a short drive away are a number of National Trust properties. This cottage is perfect for a relaxing romantic retreat at any time of year.

St Mellion International Resort (4 miles), which offers a European Tour golf course and an award winning 2AA Rosette gourmet restaurant called An Boesti plus No. 18 Grill & Bar restaurant. China Fleet Country Club, which offers a golf course and spa facilities.

The village of Hatt offers a shop, post office and pub. Close by is the town of Saltash, plus there are woodland and riverside walks in the area and within driving distance are a number of National Trust properties. Hatt is a great base for a Cornish holiday at whatever time of year you decide to visit.
