Built of local stone, it boasts a decked balcony beside the shallow river with its restful and peaceful sounds. Surrounded by a wrought iron balustrade, this outdoor area is fitted with furniture for enjoying a morning coffee and breakfast in the sunshine, relaxing during the day and/or savouring an al fresco romantic dinner. The front enclosed courtyard, with its distinctive wide wooden door leads into the light and airy open-plan living space of the upper ground floor. The dining area completes this charming, timber-vaulted socializing space. A cast-iron spiral staircase leads to the whimsical mezzanine snug with a well-stocked library with two chaises longues for relaxing and/or listening to music. The shabby chic, yet thoroughly modern shower room is conveniently placed on the ground floor. An illuminated short flight of stairs leads down to the lower ground floor which reveals two generously-sized bedrooms with king-size and respectively twin beds along a delightful mix of eclectic country-style and vintage furnishings.
