About this property

Nestled on the outskirts of the bustling market town of Helston, in Cornwall, is this superb traditional Cornish cottage. Internally, the property has been renovated to provide a stylish and contemporary base for friends and families looking to explore this wonderful rural area of Cornwall. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed to the front of the cottage and has been fitted to a high-standard, with lovely wooden units coinciding with the matching wood panelled walls. Cook up a delicious home-cooked meal with those modern appliances on-hand and gather around the dining table with a glass of champagne. Walk through to the snug area which you can use as a quiet space to catch up on a good book, with a warming woodburner for those chillier evenings. Spend some quality family time together in the sitting room, which has plenty of seating to keep up to date with your favourite shows and an electric fire as an added bonus. Retire to one of the two well-presented bedrooms, consisting of a double and twin setup, both of which have a range of furniture for storage space, as well as lovely views across the open countryside. Discover a ground-floor bathroom with an elegant bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day, whilst the first-floor has a cloakroom with a basin and WC for your convenience during the night. Take one of the provided cream teas out to the enclosed lawned garden of a morning and enjoy watching the sunrise whilst your pet stretches its legs of a morning. Resting on the outskirts of Helston, you have access inside for a range of tourist attractions that are a must-see during your trip, including the Flambards Theme Park with plenty of fun-filled rides for you and your little ones, and a children's indoor play area, so much to get involved with. Travel towards the coastline to the 50 hectare Loe Pool, which is the largest natural lake in Cornwall and being surrounded by trees is home to a variety of birds and wildlife, perfect for walking around or heading on to the spectacular coastal footpath at Loe Bar. Fishing, sailing and kayaking is available at Stithians Lake to the Falmouth side of Helston. Helston itself provides a large number of shops and supermarkets for those shopping sprees, as well as some traditional pubs and restaurants for some fine food options and a well-deserved drink. You are also within driving distance of the beautiful Lizard Heritage Coast for a plethora of attractions, including some white sandy beaches, perfect for some surfing opportunities. At Engoyse we also have our llamas, alpacas, ducks, geese and hens in the fields around us. Use Goosecott as your base for exploring all this wonderful region has to offer.
