    About this property

    Complimentary Welcome Hamper
A complimentary welcome hamper will be awaiting you on your arrival containing milk, tea, fresh coffee, bread, butter, eggs, juice, wine and cheese, along with other essential items to prepare a light snack or breakfast. There may be some regional variations.

Snaptrip is delighted to offer you one of three three holiday properties on the magnificent Bonython Estate, 4.5 miles south of Helston on the northern part of the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. Each holiday retreat is uniquely decorated to a very high standard and offers great comfort and the privacy and quietness of the estate, yet close to the amenities of the small towns and villages nearby.
The beautiful Bonython Estate Gardens, which guests are welcome to explore, comprises some 20 acres with a recently renovated walled garden and potager and a hidden valley with 3 small lakes. The gardens are rated as one of 'The Great Gardens of Cornwall' and given a star in the 'Good Garden Guide'. Bonython Estate is a traditional, mixed agricultural Cornish estate with ancient manor, farm and woodland stretching almost from one side of the Peninsula (the Helford River) to the other (the beach at Poldhu Cove) with both shores just over a mile away.
We offer other options at this location, which may be of interest if you need to accommodate a different sized group. The others are: Mews Cottage (CW047) sleeping six guests and Spring Water Barn (CW058) Sleeping two guests.

"Very attractive, comfortable and well equipped.Signage to the property could be better as could the muddy path leading to the door. Difficult to keep the entrance clean."

"Lovely cottage, nicely furnished and it was immaculately clean. As somenone else has said there is not a lot of space in the kitchen area to work if you wanted to cook but as I did not want to cook it didn't really matter. The shower room attached to the main bedroom was lovely but the second shower room was not great and could do with modernising. The cottage was in a lovely area for walks/visiting beaches and coves"

"Very good cottage. The only fault was that one bedroom was not en-suite and its bathroom was not close to the bedroom."

"Very nice cottage but no work surface in the kitchen or empty cupboard in kitchen for supplies.Would suggest that the ensuite in the master bedroom has a frosted door.some of us like privacy in the bathroom and I find clear door glass unacceptable."

"Cottage was lovely and clean, very well equipped. Hamper good - best one we have had."

"This is a lovely cottage. The living area is very comfortable, spacious and tastefully furnished. The outside of the cottage is quite charming and the garden is very pleasant. A delightful and exciting feature of the garden is that you can open the gate and find yourself in the beautiful grounds of a fine country estate. The welcome hamper was indeed welcoming, containing homemade items, which were all excellent, particularly the lemon cake! There are some areas that could be improved. While the en-suite bathroom was very modern, the other bathroom is rather dated. The mattresses in the twin room could do with being replaced by some better quality ones and the knives in the kitchen need sharpening. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent cottage in which to unwind and it is in a great location."

"Fathers Day 21st. Poldhu - Church Cove walk & coffee. Twitching!! Colony of about 6 "chuffs"! Very tame and able to get very close. Next 50 yards 3 ravens!! Then buzzed by a buzzard - what else!! Church at Church Cove - not destroyed or defaced by the reformation. Woodwork of great beauty. Porthleven - "Park and Walk" use the O.S map. Car park to south of town v busy on Saturday. You don't have to eat Michelin ** to find good food. Look out for Hummingbird Hawkmoth on patio and in garden."

"A lovely holiday, thank you for all the yummie treats, they went down very well including the flowers. A great place for exploring the surrounding area. Lovely beaches at Porthmister, Kynance, Poldhu beach and Porthleven. Recommend Porthminster Casfe (St Ives) and Roskilly St Keverne for Ice Cream. Weather was mixed, but we had a lovely time. Lovely to explore Bonython Gardens too.AS, Wales"
