About this property

This welcoming detached bungalow is situated just 1 mile from the town of Hayle and just 2 miles from St Ives Bay and its fabulous coastline. The beaches in this area are some of the best, spanning 3 miles of golden sand from Hayle to Godrevy. Warveneth sits within the pretty historic village of Angarrack, within reach of a host of attractions, as well as the delightful towns of St Ives and Penzance. Well-furnished throughout, this comfortable cottage is perfectly located in one of the most sought after and beautiful parts of the country. There are three bedrooms offering flexible sleeping arrangements, including a king-size double, a zip/link twin and a children’s bunk room, along with a modern bathroom which benefits from underfloor heating. The cosy sitting room is an ideal place to relax after rustling up a tasty meal in the kitchen, or give the chefs in your party a night off and venture into the village to enjoy a meal in the traditional pub that can be found there. There’s a private enclosed rear patio, ideal for enjoying a cold drink on a warm summer’s day, and to the front is a steep lawned garden. Riverside walks can be enjoyed into Angarrack, which is famous throughout the area for its Christmas lights, and within reach are the Gwithian and Godrevy beaches, the small town of Hayle with its sandy beaches, and close by are the towns of St Ives and Penzance, which are well worth a visit. With close proximity to the A30 and with plenty to see and explore only a short drive away, makes this a charming place to stay.

The lively village of Angarrack is well-known throughout the South West for its award-winning Christmas lights and it's railway viaduct, and there's also a traditional Cornish pub in the village which serves local ales. The small town of Hayle is close by and has three miles of golden sands, and the towns of St Ives and Penzance are within reach.

Firstly, the positives: bedrooms and bed linen were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Also, the provision of milk, biscuits and Saffron cake on arrival was much appreciated. However, after a long journey we opened the door and we were hit with a very unpleasant doggy smell. The property did not smell fresh and clean. We soon discovered that this smell came from the sofa. Not only was the sofa uncomfortable, but it smelt of dogs. We appreciate it is a dog friendly property, but we did not expect this and have never experienced this at other properties. Having seen that this was mentioned in previous reviews, it was disappointing that this problem had not been resolved. Although we enjoyed staying in Angarrack, we will not be returning to Warveneth as the interior of the property is very dated and requires a refresh. Absolutely nothing had changed from our previous visit right down to the table cloth and place mats in the kitchen (plus there were no teaspoons).
