About this property

Experience - The Area...

Nestling in a small peaceful hamlet on the southern edge of Trenowth Wood in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Woodlands is centrally located midway between Truro and St Austell providing a perfect base for exploring the whole county being just 10 minutes from the A30.

Situated in lovely countryside, this comfortable double glazed single storey cottage with the benefit of two en-suite bedrooms, converted from a 17th century barn with exposed beams and quarry tile flooring throughout, is set to one side of the owners home around an attractive courtyard.

The area abounds with country footpaths and woodland walks on your doorstep as well as golf courses and cycling routes nearby. Within a 10 mile radius there are several lovely beaches on the south coast, Newquay on the north coast, and many gardens open to the public including The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Trewithen.

The village of Grampound Road, 1.5 miles, has a village store/P.O., and there are local pubs in the nearby villages of Ladock and Grampound about a 5 minute drive respectively.  There is a larger selection of shops, supermarkets, a cinema and leisure facilities in St Austell approximately 6 miles away.

Stay - The Accommodation...

Entered from the enclosed patio area, one shallow step leads up to the French Doors which open directly into a light and pleasant sitting room with a restful seating area facing the wood burning stove and sash windows that look out over the pretty courtyard garden for the sole use of the visitors.  An adjacent archway leads through to a well equipped kitchen/dining room with a pine dining suite and matching Welsh dresser.

At one end of the cottage is a twin bedded room with an en suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin and a bath with hand shower fitment, and at the other end is a bedroom with a 5ft double, a door out to the enclosed garden, and an en suite shower room W.C. with hand basin. There are no internal steps making the accommodation ideal for the less mobile, and there is parking for one car on the drive at the rear of the property.
