About this property

A 4 bedroom cottage, sleeps 6. Breathtaking views down to the beach and out to sea

Farthings is a charming three bedroom cottage (plus child's room with a child's bed) located in a desirable location right on the beach at Readymoney Cove in Fowey. The cottage is situated just opposite Readymoney Cottage, where writer Daphne Du Maurier once lived. It has good access to the National Trust Coastal Path, Fowey town centre, which is about a 10 minute walk and is just 30 yards from the beach.

It is situated in an idyllic location in Cornwall with easy access to many of the county's excellent attractions including the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and popular coastal towns such as Carlyon Bay, Charlestown and Mevagissey, making it the perfect holiday home to explore Cornwall.

Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival. There are many good local restaurants, cafes, bars and shops to choose from in the centre of Fowey and if you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a boat or sailing trips.

The dramatic views of the South Cornwall coast and countryside can be enjoyed from the many National Trust coastal walks which can be accessed directly opposite the cottage.

This property especially welcomes families. It provides a cot and a booster highchair plus blackout blinds, children's games and books. There is also an enclosed garden.

Excellent accommodation in a wonderful location. Blue Chip staff offer first class booking, check in and follow up service, super location and property met expectations. Only concern was no stair gate for younger children - this needs addressing!

  • From Guestbook

Farthings has been thought out in every way for a family holiday to maximise use of the space available. The bedrooms were ideal for the children, and all the house facilities were excellent. A beach 30 yards away was perfect for everyone, and the outside shower was used throughout our stay. A great place!
