About this property

Tower House is a stunning, converted Sunday school that rests in the delightful coastal village of Boscastle in Cornwall. This beautifully furnished, well-located cottage provides comforting accommodation for friends and families to come together and discover what Cornwall has to offer. The cottage retains many of its original features, including the characterful wooden beams and feature stone walls, plus slate flooring and wooden stable doors add a real sense of charm to the place. The ground floor is the perfect spot to spend your down time, get everybody together in the wonderful sitting room in front of the roaring open fire and watch your favourite films in the company of your loved ones. The designated chef of the group will have much fun preparing the meals in the kitchen/diner, with high-quality appliances and a rustic wooden dining table with pews for everybody to sit on with the added benefit of a stunning feature stone wall housing a woodburning stove to keep you warm. The ground floor is also home to the first of five warming, cosy bedrooms as well as a classy shower room. Head up to the first floor and discover the other four bedrooms, one which is a lovely spacious room with a TV and your own woodburning stove to some personal comfort. Make the most of the excellent garden area here at Tower House, with the choice of a decking area or a lawned garden to stretch your legs on. Boscastle is a fabulous holiday base with a range of shops and gastropubs to enjoy. For a dose of the outdoors, take a stroll along the scenery-filled South West coastal path to discover beaches, coves and much more. Tower House is a sublime traditional cottage in a divine coastal location.

A Cornish coastal village with quaint shops, restaurants and gastropubs, this is a popular destination. Cliff tops, coves, surf, fields and wildlife characterise all occupy the area. The coastal path passes through rugged and spectacular scenery. The beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and surfing at Bude and Polzeath are within driving distance. Close at hand is Tintagel, swathed in stately homes and gardens, or the Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier's Jamaica Inn.

Shower over bath leaked water coming above patio doors in kitchen. Shower tray upstairs fills up needs cleaning out. If u put dish washer on a normal wash dishes are not clean. Toaster is not very good. Fridge drawers were not very clean, water dispenser, not clean. Think it could do with a spring clean, things don’t seem to get moved. Dirty tea bag gone mouldy in tea pot. We did not use fire in kitchen, we did use fire in lounge which was very nice, it was left cleaner then when we arrived. Shame it’s a lovely House. Steep walk back from the village.

(Where located is on an incline so you do need a pair of good leg muscles for the walk up to the house from the town centre ) Loved the decking area to sit and relax in the morning and enjoy the sun and peaceful outlook. Very well equipped with kitchen items (plenty of pans with a range of sizes which is just what you need for a large number of people - as well as bottle opener etc.)Bedrooms all a good size, including downstairs bedroom/bathroom which is always a plus for the older generation. Including a further two upstairs. Lots of space to socialise as well as finding a quiet area if needed. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Ripped wallpaper, carpets seen better days, cooker and toasted knobs broken. The cleaners didn’t do a great job before we arrived, but overall a fabulous house with everything we needed and brilliant stay
